Kids love stories, but even more, they enjoy making up and telling their own stories. Storybook Weaver Deluxe allows kids to put their words and ideas into print as the author of their very own storybook.
Unlike other games of this type, players are not limited to a few stock backgrounds or pictures, but can place hundreds of people and objects onto over 50 different mixable backgrounds. The controls are fairly simple and allow players free rein in placing where the characters in the scene can go. Other controls can increase or decrease the size of an object or person and flip the picture left or right.
Beneath the scene, players can write their own accompanying dialogue or even record themselves telling that part of the story (No more than 30 seconds of dialogue per page). They can even assign sounds to the page or objects in the scene, allowing clocks to tick and alarm bells to ring.
This game will appeal to a wide range of ages. Even adults will come to appreciate the story-book making possibilities. With a wide range of pictures, settings and characters, the game can be used over and over again, mixing stories of all types: horror, science fiction, fantasy, historical and more
The manual for this game is fairly hefty and includes a number of ideas for parents to expand upon and spark ideas for stories using this product. In addition, all the controls are explained as well as how to use the spellcheck function and import pictures from external sources. Players can even put pictures of themselves into the story!
This game is a fantastic value and is sure to bring out the storyteller in any player, whether adult or child and with easy to use, almost self-explanatory controls, players are sure to get literally hundreds of hours of use out of it.

Sound: Clear and not too loud, with at least 60 sounds accessible to players.

Storybook Weaver Deluxe allows you to jump start the creative writing process by pasting an image of what you are writing together in a field above your text. You have over 1700 clip art like objects at your disposal they can be flipped, shrunk, enlarged, given a sound effect, etc. You can also put them on over 142 backgrounds. Songs can be assigned to each page so a particular theme will play whenever that page is reached. Children can easily navigate menus for different categories such as "Make-Believe People" or "Animals" After your done you can print your story out or have your computer read it back.
