This sequel to the classic Switchblade was drooled all over by the computer press and is still just as sexy today as it was way back then. The story goes like this. Havoc has been living up to his name and has decided to take over control of the Cyberworld. The only person who can possibly save the world is a Blade Knight and it just so happens that a chap called Hiro is the only living Blade Knight in the whole world. And guess what? He lives just around the corner from Havoc.
Cue platform romparama which involves our Japanese hero kicking some robot and other such nasties until he gets to wreck Havoc's deadly plans. One of the best platformers you're ever likely to see - it's certainly on my top five list of platform games. The graphics and sound are brilliant plus the level of playability is simply stunning. The game is a right toughy to complete - believe you me, it will take you more than a couple of goes to finish it. Some things do improve with age and Switchblade 2 is one of them. Absolutely bloody brilliant.
