Sierra's award-winning The Incredible Machine returns to the computer platform with 170 new puzzles to master. For those unfamiliar with the series, the goal is to figure out how to get an object, creature, or person to the other side of the screen by using an assortment of wacky gadgets. Each puzzle setting also features variable gravity and air pressure. Build your Goldberg-esque contraptions with pulleys, scissors, balloons, trampolines, vacuum cleaners, fans, kettles, and other animated objects. More than 50 offbeat items are available to use in total, and multiple solutions are possible with different combinations. Try to stump friends and family members with your own puzzles created with the built-in editing tool.
The same basic gameplay as the original Incredible Machine, solving a puzzle only using the parts provided. It includes all of the 87 puzzles from the first game, 73 new ones, as well as new parts and music.
The Even More Incredible Machine is, naturally, the sequel to the very famous and well known Incredible Machine. Although it was released 3 years after the original incredible machine, it features very little changes in elements of gameplay. The main interface is identical to the one in the original Incredible Machine, and the puzzle screen is very similar. They basically just moved the item column from right to left. The only way you could know for sure that you are playing the EVEN MORE incredible machine is by stumbling into new puzzle objects. They added a guy called Mel, an aligator, a nail, and few types of balls. You'd say they would be more innovative, I mean, they did have 3 years to think of something really revolutionary, but unfortunately this is one of those 'Lets recycle it and earn some quick buck' publishings. Nevertheless, there are plenty of new puzzles to keep you occupied for a while. If you enjoyed the original series, and didn't get bored, you'll certainly have fun playing the new missions! However, if you already got fed up with the first part, you'll get bored with this one quickly!
This is best described as an "add-on" pack for The Incredible Machine 1: it contains more levels, more parts, and more flexibility of controls than the original, even though it does not require you to have TIM1 to play. The interface was updated from DOS to Windows with much better music. The only downside is maybe the fact that tutorial levels are identical to TIM1.
The Sequel... Very fun game more tools and stuff to complete the levels. Get the basketball through the level.
