Knights of Xentar Download (1994 Role playing Game)

Knights of Xentar is a sequel to Dragon Knight II, and is the only Dragon Knight game that was released outside of Japan.

You control a young warrior named Desmond (Takeru in the Japanese version). After liberating Strawberry Fields from an evil curse in his previous adventure, Desmond finds himself in a situation unworthy of his heroic status: robbers have taken all his possessions, including his magic sword, and even his clothes! So the first task for the unsuccessful hero will be to get some money. Luckily, the mayor has an assignment for you, for which he is also willing to pay. Desmond accepts the assignment without knowing what it will lead to - traveling all over the world, fighting fearsome enemies, encounter beautiful women, and solving a mystery that will also reveal the secret of his own true identity!

Knights of Xentar is a humorous RPG with erotic content. The RPG system is completely different from that of the previous game. You travel now in top-down view on the world map, visiting towns and dungeons, like in most traditional Japanese RPGs. The enemy encounters are random. While the Turbo CD version retains the first-person view for battles, in the PC port they are top-down, Final Fantasy-style. Also in the PC version, your party and the enemies attack each other automatically. You can pause the battle at any time to cast a spell, use an item, or change your attack style. You have an attack gauge with 8 different attack levels. At higher levels you can execute more powerful attacks, but your speed decreases.

Knights of Xentar features animé-style cut scenes, many of which contain erotic images - the girls Desmond encounters and helps will often feel grateful and award him with some "treatment". In addition to the regular version of the game, the PC port also introduces an X-Rated version with more explicit nudity.

Knights of Xentar is the second Hentai RPG from MegaTech that features better graphics than Cobra Mission, but unfortunately much inferior gameplay. In this fantasy story, you play Desmond, a knight who is tasked with defeating "Child of Darkness" to fulfill ancient prophecy. It's just your basic save-the-world plot with new names-nothing special here. Your quest will take you through the vast realms of Xentar, encountering numerous demons and voluptuous women on the way.

Xentar deserves recognition as the first PC game ever made with a voluntary 17+ rating (before ESRB ratings were compulsory). Although the graphics have been improved (including, of course, the obligatory sex scenes that qualify the game as a Hentai title), gameplay unfortunately suffers from extreme linearity and way too many pointless combat sequences. There is a lot less subplots in the game than Cobra Mission, and while there are more options during combat, they don't really make a difference since most monsters are easy to kill anyway. In contrast to Cobra Mission in which you know exactly when to expect adult scenes (i.e. right after you rescue a maiden), in Xentar these scenes appear almost at random, often with very little relation to the plot. Of course, if looking at pixellated adult scenes is your only reason for playing this game, this is a minor point. But for the rest of us who want to play a game and not watch endless slideshow of gratuitous sex scenes, this is just plain annoying.

When all is said and done, Knights of Xentar is still one of the better Hentai games on the market-but given how most of them are really bad, that's not saying much. On its own, Xentar is a decent, very simple RPGs that fans of console classics may find appealing for an hour or two. Compared to Cobra Mission, though, it is major disappointment, and a game that is neither the best of Hentai, nor RPG. Stay awayfrom this game unless you are curious about this kind of game, or really like Hentai in general.

Do you like anime? Do you like RPGs? Do you like a game that will keep you playing for hours? If you like all three, THIS is the game for you. You start out loaded: legendary sword armor, etc. As you can tell from this, this adventure will be anything but conventional.

You are drunk, and a gang attacks you. You are knocked out and all your belongings are stolen. You wake up in a bar, where the bartender's daughter is being unwell fully raped. So what is a groggy, drunken hero to do? Take out the whole gang with his fists and save the girl! But wait... the thieves don't have your stuff; where is it? You can't even find your clothes! So, I guess that means you are naked.

Eventually, you find an old man who gives you clothes (what a nice guy) and he notices your small "manhood" (this is an ongoing joke throughout the whole game, even monsters notice.) So now you set off to tell your friend who lent you all the stuff the bad news. It doesn't take long to notice this is a hentai game, so I was impressed to see such a great game for this type of RPG. The battles are generally easy, and it's kind of automatic if all you want to do is physically attack, but it's still fun to fight.

The graphics are GREAT, though the sound could use a bit of improvement. I think it has one of the better storylines of the RPGs I have played. Overall, this is a GREAT game, and would still be great, even without the adult scenes.
