Transit enthusiasts can ride more than 1,000 miles of real-life routes in Kuji Entertainment's Rail Simulator. Amateur engineers can take the helm of historical and contemporary steam, diesel, and electric trains as they travel throughout North America and Europe. Fifteen different scenarios are available, from running short commuter routes to hauling huge loads of freight, or gamers can try the free-roam mode for a more leisurely experience. Exclusive to the North American release is the Barstow to San Bernardino route, along with new Union Pacific rail cars and locomotives. Rail Simulator comes with a full track and world editor that lets players design highly detailed environments through which original routes can pass, and additional content is available for download.
