Concluding the Black Mirror trilogy, Final Fear is a classically styled point-and-click adventure with a deep, disturbing story. The series is set in and around the Black Mirror, a mentally unsettling manor house, haunted by a gruesome intrigue that runs generations back into history. The third game begins immediately where the second left off. Until recently a humble New England shopkeeper, poor Darren Michaels now finds himself far from home and under arrest for a deadly crime. Although he is released from prison weeks later, his bail posted by a mysteriously anonymous benefactor, Darren remains trapped by the visions that invade his thoughts, by the horrible dreams that fill his nights, and by his missing memories of the events of that fatal night. The story's secrets are gradually revealed, as players take the roles of two different heroes, to explore more than 120 locations and interact with dozens of supporting characters.
