The sequel to First Battalion, Dunes of War, expands the military action into North Africa where gamers must choose between two forces: Germany and the Allied Army. Players may lead either the Germans as they head into Africa through Europe, or take command of the Americans after they land on the beaches of the Mediterranean. Dunes of War features ten multiplayer maps with destructible environments for up to 32 players, and modes that include "Conquest" and "Capture the Flag."
